Tourism and Development



THE DEFINITION OF TOURISM

Tourism is an activity done by an individual or a group of individuals, which leads to a motion from a place to another. From a country to another for performing a specific task in the purpose of entertaining other cultures, also increasing the knowledge of countries, cultures, and history.


RELATION BETWEEN TOURISM AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The relationship between tourism and economic development is the basis for the dependence of some countries on the effects of tourism-based for their economic development. One of the benefits or links between tourism and economic development is the fact that a vibrant tourist region provides employment for the citizens of that area. Employment is a macroeconomic factor that contributes to the growth of an economy by providing workers with disposable income and consequently leading to an increase in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the region.
